Editing Pages

This page is where all the action happens! At the top you can see the Page name, Slug, Title and Description.

The Page name is what shows in the website menu, e.g. Home, Contact etc.

The slug is the link address, which if for example it is "contact", then the link to that page will be www.yourwebsite.co.uk/contact

Normally, you won't ever need to change these first 2 fields.

The Title and Description are called Meta tags, and are what search engines see. These are used to describe your page, so you will see more text. You can change these if you like.

The switches below, Private, Disabled, and Allow Search Engines are as you'd expect. Typically, your pages should all be Private: Off, Disabled: Off, Allow Search Engines: On.

Changing the page

Each page is made up of blocks, or sections. As you scroll down the page, and tap a block, you will see it highlighted with a dashed grey outline. Tapping in a text block allows you to start editing that text, similar to how you can write an email. A floating toolbar will pop up

floating text toolbarwith buttons to change the font size, font, text colour, text alignment etc. You can insert an image, a video or an icon. Use the H1 button for page headings, and H2-H6 for smaller headings. Use P for paragraph text.

Delete text using your delete key, and you can select text using your mouse or keyboard.

Add a link to another page or another website  using the insert_link link button.

When you have made your changes, be sure to tap the blue "SAVE" button at the top right of the page, and your page will not automatically save unless you explicitly tap the save button. When saved, you should see a green "Page saved" notifications.

Block Settings

The settings cog icon will always show to the right of a selected block. Tapping this brings up a menu, which will haven't different options depending on the type of block.

  • Block Style - Allows you to change the style of a block.

  • Block Settings - Allows you to hide a block.

  • Animate Block - Adding small animations to the block.

  • Edit CSS - For web designers to edit the CSS directly.

Above or below each block are two magenta buttons, "Switch position", and "Add block".

switch addThe "Switch block" with cause the block to swap places with the block above or below, so you can move blocks up or down on the page.

The "Add block" button brings up a list of available blocks you can add to the page.
